Is it handcraft or art? With a steady hand, a good eye and immense precision, the clockmaker is working on the tiny elements of a watch. When the first clockmaker guild was founded in 1540 in Dresden, their work was considered an art. But the very first hand watch was invented by the craftsman Peter Heinlein – a locksmith master.
